I don't think I'll make it to Florida for the yet-to-be-announced (but reportedly as soon as February 6th) launch, but I would love to be there someday with my two kids, both of whom love astronauts and space exploration.
I remember watching live online with my daughter with SpaceX first landed their Stage 1 rocket back on Earth. That was the same year she was an astronaut for Halloween and, on her way in line for my office party, met Mae Jemison. I remember, on more than one occasion that year, having a "daddy-daughter date" of Ledo's Pizza, root beer, and whatever NASA documentary we could find and her asking me to tell her about how I worked with astronauts. I wonder what amazing things we will see as we explore space in her lifetime.
Someday, we'll get a close-up look at it and enjoy watching infinity, and beyond. Until then, the internet will be our portal view of it.
